The majority of the Iranian women’s football team have returned home after a week-long journey back from the Asian Cup, crossing into the country from Turkey by road.

A member of the Iranian women’s football team who sought asylum in Australia has been omitted from a homecoming celebration photograph despite playing in every match of the Asian Cup.
