A suburban police officer has been fired after urging federal immigration agents last year to target local sites, city officials said.
Officers were patrolling near the 6600 block of South Halsted Street when they heard shots and found a 19-year-old who had been shot in the abdomen, police said.
Destroying those videos will lead “to the permanent loss of evidence that may be essential for lawsuits and other challenges to police practices,” according to the city's Department of Law.
