I have spent many hours on FS 2004 and was disappointed in not having an aircraft in the gap between the Lear 45 and the 737. The FSX version fills that gap well. Flight Sim. X is more realistic with the cockpit view which actually makes it a little more difficult to use some of the aircraft controls. I am not a pilot so I have no real experience to compare the aircraft reaction to control input, but this does seem to be realistic. The graphics are beyond excellent. The cloud textures and the simulator world in general are much more realistic. I feel like I could "buzz" my office.

He also found a way to access rooms where you can do the multiplayer mode although the gamespy group doesn't work anymore, so now I have to buy him a headset with a mic for the pc, so he can talk with other players!! He seems to even play this game more than his Xbox...wow!! I don't care!! Anything, to keep him busy until school begins here on the 27th of August...lol!!!

A great game to play, love the extra features it has, like flying the F/A-18 super hornet and the detail of the game is unbelievable, but the add-ons out there web from graphic details to airports, planes, and weather will just add more enjoyment to an amazing game. Plus I like to thank Wal-Mart for shipping it to me. I thought the date they estimated for me was the day it was coming but I received it in two days. Definitely worth buying and a great game for kids.

I love the missions part it takes you from begginer to expert and some are real easy and others take a few trys at but challanging no matter what.\n\nmore detailed buildings and moving cars trucks and airports are far better then in FS2004.\n\nthis is one game that takes real world to a new level .\n\nhope you find that you love it ... i sure do

FSX has a feature to...
Reviewed on www.ebay.com.au·protronics-au
FSX has a feature to record and re-play the last minutes of flights (including landings) from many different camera angles. Sometimes, when flying I keep open a map-window that shows the location my plane (in real-time) in relation to the ground. While “sitting” in the cockpit, FSX also allows you to change eye-point and move the direction of view from left to right and up or down, simply by operating the directional, hat-switch/button (on joystick) during flight. This allows you to “look” out of the cockpit window at nearby airports and landmarks as they pass by underneath.\n\nFor me, the huge range of free, add-on aircraft and scenery for FSX makes this flight simulator the best value for my Windows 10 computer, compared with all other flight simulators. This is still true even when other Flight Sims have better graphics and resolution than FSX. Also, I have bought and installed various ORBX airports to make the buildings and scenery of those airports more realistic than the default ones on FSX. I have also purchased some, excellent extra aeroplanes by “JustFlight”. Also, I have downloaded many extra (free) aeroplanes from flyawaysimulation.com. their range of free add-ons for FSX Flight Simulator is enormous! Given that it is a 2008 version of Microsoft’s Flight Simulator, the FSX Gold edition has enormous computer-speed benefits compared with the regular, FSX Deluxe version. I recommend that for modern computers (10 years old and later), that it is much better to install the updated, FSX “Gold” version rather than the regular, “Deluxe” version, because of the massive improvements. The Gold version includes extra features and enhancements and is Microsoft’s official update that also includes service packs that fix various software bugs and design flaws in the older, deluxe version. \n\nFlight Simulator X Gold for PCs (Windows) lets you (as the pilot) enter an immersive world with changing weather, times of day, and seasons. This “Gold” edition, gives you a bird's-eye view of cities below the aircraft with added details such as moving cars, buildings, houses, and wildlife. Watch as the world beneath you comes to life, from the gates and fuel trucks at your local airport to the hustle and bustle of cities. Experience the challenges of landing at your local airport as day turns to night and as the seasons change. Anywhere is possible, all over the world. Flight Simulator X Gold allows you to experience the wild blue yonder.

How I have missed this Simulator. The joy of re-enacting some of my father's flight stories, and also the joys of doing things you normally wouldn't attempt in a real plane. Taking off from a carrier off of Paris, flipping upside down and flying under the Eiffel Tower. Knife edging thru cities. Buzzing the towers and areas I live :P. Would say how the multi-player is now, but I have to wait for my replacement cooler fan to come in for my cpu as I killed it while playing SWTOR. Least the processor didn't fry ;).

When you buy this game you need a good computer, my laptop struggles playing it. Its a good 12-15 Gigabytes so you should have a pretty good size hard drive. My laptop has a 48GB hard drive and I didnt want to put it on that hard drive, I bought an external hard drive and I think that might be the reason it is slow. I don't play it much anymore now that my pc is running Ubuntu 7.04 and My Windows Vista laptop crashed. This game can really teach you things about airplanes and it is really fun to use the mic in multiplayer mode. I don't recommend using this game with a computer that has Windows Vista and 512mb ram, Vista uses it all! After I played this game for about 50 hours or so I really started loving airplanes and now I can name planes easily!

Bought this game about a week ago. Great game. I bought FSX gold, but still includes deluxe with accel. pack. Anyways, I am real happy with the game. It's very tough to learn because it's so realistic. They do offer tutorials and stuff though and you have the ability to play online with other people... I thought it was real neat how you could talk through a mic to other real people (like a pilot requesting landing clearence to someone in a flight tower). It makes the game very realistic. Challenging and realistic. Recommend it to everyone.

I have been flying simulators for over 15 years. This one very memory intensive, but I knew that when purchasing it. Wal-mart's price was at least $10 less than anywhere else I could find it. I upgraded my PC to 2GB RAM and put in a 512MB graphics card to get the best out of it. I am using it on XP, but will probably run it on Vista sometime soon. I will probably start looking into some hardware next, such as Flight Wheel, Rudder Pedals, etc. I just can't get enough time on it!!
