Microsoft's Flight Simulator X could be the last and is certainly the best release for this very successful product line. I started flying MSFS 1 on my neighbor's computer back in the 80's, and have enjoyed playing flight simulation games ever since.\n\nI have owned every version, and thought I knew what to expect in this release. Boy was I wrong! The eye-candy in this version is over the top!\n\nYou will need serious computing power to fully utilize all the graphical features of this product, but if you are fortunate enough to have the high-end computer rig to run it, you will be beyond impressed.\n\nAfter installation, you should visit Microsoft's site and install both of the service packs for this product, it makes a world of difference on the frame rates you will see.\n\nSince the release, Microsoft has disbanded the team that developed this product. I am not saying there will never be another one, but chances are, it will be no time soon.\n\nAt the price Wal-Mart is selling this software now, it should be a mandatory flight simulator title in your collection for all those people out there that ever dreamed of being a pilot, or for all the real pilots out there.\n\nThe flight models and realism are as real as it gets, and there are literally tens of thousands of add-ons for this product. If you like a specific aircraft, chances are you can download it from the hundreds of websites currently on the Internet.
