Quality wetlands require intensive management. This photo series depicts the progression of a wetland unit 6/7 at Pickerel Creek Wildlife Area. The water was pumped out for draw-down, seeded with Japanese millet from the Ohio Division of Wildlife’s helicopter, selectively sprayed with herbicide from a 4-wheeler, and then re-flooded.
