Say hello to Pretoria, a brown greater galago at Duke Lemur Center. This species is also commonly known as a bushbaby, a name given to the primate because of their calls which sound like a crying child. Galagos like Pretoria are found in the wild throughout southern and central Africa, living in both forested areas and savannahs. Preferred habitat is chosen based on the availability of gum trees, which make up over 60% of the species’ diet. The other 40% is a combination of fruits, flowers, nect
