• IRIS • Large Solar Prominence - Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph 17.10.2020 • Here the multi-directional paths of the plasma show how chaotic the suns magnetic fields can get. The polarity of the magnetic loops dictate the flow of plasma in this short video taken by IRIS on Feb, 2015 over a duration of approximately 5 hours. The complex prominence shows vertical structures, rotating motions, and strong downflows from the prominence body. We aslo see a detailed view of the surface spicules
